Karma Genetics has been operating out of the Netherlands since 1996, and the OG Kush family has been the backbone of their catalog for most of that time. Not as a trend response — as a genuine obsession with what the OG lineage is capable of when worked across multiple backcross generations by someone who understands the genetics well enough to know what they’re selecting for. Biker Kush is the product of that obsession: a second backcross of the Hells Angel OG, one of Karma’s personal favorites and a strain they describe simply as heavy, like a good red wine.
The lineage is HA-OG crossed back to Biker Kush V1 — which was itself the first backcross of the Hells Angel OG to SFV OG Kush BX2. What that backcross progression produces is a concentrated expression of the Hells Angel OG character, with each generation of backcrossing narrowing the genetic expression closer to the source and amplifying the traits that made the HA-OG worth working with in the first place. The Hells Angel OG is a cut that came out of the California outlaw motorcycle club scene — the specific lineage disputed, the quality not — and that carries a deeply earthy, pinesol-forward OG character with a fuel undertone and a potency ceiling that serious OG growers recognized immediately as exceptional.
What Biker Kush expresses is that character at full concentration. The nose is classic OG — sharp pine, lemon zest, earthy Kush gas — pinesol and citrus with a rich kushy spice in the background that deepens as the bud cures. The buds are dense and rock-hard, dark green, heavily covered in trichomes, with the weight and structural density that benefits from staking in late flower when the tops get too heavy to support themselves. That’s not a complaint — that’s a sign of what the yields look like when the plant finishes properly.
Flowering runs 10 to 11 weeks, on the longer end for an OG expression, and Karma’s guidance is consistent with every other serious OG grower’s experience: the patience required to take it to the full finish window is exactly what separates a good result from an exceptional one. The effect is deeply relaxing, euphoric, powerful in both the cerebral onset and the body stone that builds behind it — the heavy OG experience that the backcross work was designed to preserve and amplify.
First place in the Rosin Ganja Time Cup in Spain in 2015 confirmed what the growers who had been running Biker Kush already knew — the resin quality and terpene fidelity through the extraction process is exceptional, a reflection of the genetic concentration that backcross work produces when it’s done right. The seed-hunted pheno used in the Katsu Seeds program was selected from Karma’s regular seed release — the full genetic diversity of the population run out to find the expression that best captured the HA-OG character at its most complete.
